My third and best grammar exercise book

I fill out these grammar books like they were puzzles. Why not have fun and learn at the same time? I just finished filling it out for several months. The other grammar books I worked with were so inferior to this one. I am spoiled. I don't think I'll ever find a better one. For one thing, it has very few errors. I only found one and it was insignificant. Most grammar books contain many more. It also was well organized, clear and complete. In short, it was perfect for what I needed. It took me about 2 months to fill out all 420.

Excellent for an English native speaker learning German

I'm an English mothertongue living in Austria and pretty much had to learn German. I also wanted to be able to write properly in German, and make sure I could also understand the grammar and not only speak the language.

I have bought many learning tools in order to help me along, and this book is the best one I have! It EXPLAINS everything in English: the whys and hows. Therefore, you have some logic of the language and it helped me learn a lot because it actually identified all the difficult grammar tricks, exceptions, special word orders and special expressions - therefore, I had everything explained to me so it made it easy when I saw it in print, or heard it on the TV. For example, it even explained things that wouldn't come up every day ("um...zu" means "in order to") so now when I see them, it's not such a translating nightmare.

Schaum's Outlines German Grammar 4th edition

This book is exactly what I was looking for in trying to learn German. I am halfway through the Rosetta Stone course but kept finding it more and more difficult to UNDERSTAND all the (grammatical) changes I was seeing in the way things were being presented. The Schaum's Outline is challenging and demanding, but by sticking to it starting with page 1, I know I'm going to have a MUCH better handle on the language going forward.
