I took the CAT-ASVAB already, after reading two study books including this one
By PayAttention - December 19, 2010I know how important it is to find a "good review" especially for a book that could help shape your military career, which is precisely why I decided to take the time to write about my CAT-ASVAB experience after reading two study books, taking numerous practice exams, and then re-reading the study books all over again.
First, some of you might be wondering what score I made (I know I would be too). I got a 95%, qualifying me for virtually every program in the military. My best sections were Mathematics Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Electronics Information, and tied for fourth were General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Mechanical Comprehension, Assembling Objects, and Word Knowledge. In all of these sections I scored higher than 60. Now that we've established my credibility for this particular subject, let us move on to the review of the study material(s) themselves, and to what extent they helped in preparing me for the exam.

excellent study review
By dartangion - March 30, 2011This book is actually harder than the actual asvab, i used this book plus asvab for dummies and scored 30 pre higher than my previous asvab. I almost want to take the test again, as I was nervous during the whole test I would fill out the wrong bubbles on the wrong questions. I think if I can take it again, I would score at least ten more points than my current score, my original score was 29 and I got a 67 today. I only studied the 4 afqr subjects for 4 weeks 4+ hrs a day.
ASVAB - Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery
By c5r87cvje7n0i0 - December 17, 2010This book is great, once i find a great interest in something and read about i will never forget. I read this book once and remember everything in it. I recommend this book to everyone that wishes to join any of the Five Forces. It tests you so dont skip to the end to find the answers do the best you can then after completing that test, grade it by looking at it's answers and see how much you know and how well you did then retake it without cheating (probably a good thing to retake the next day). It's probably a bad idea to take the CAT-ASVAB(the computerized test) cause you can not go back to a question you think you marked wrong, for each unanswered question(s) you WILL be charged a penalty. Paper and Pencil well yeah you can go back but you have to finish the whole test then if there's time, return to that problem and fix the mistake. This book is about 597 pages. Trust me it's very helpful. Hope this helps... XD
