I used this book and several of my co-residents from training also taking the written boards used this book.. It was the ONLY book that I used personally, and I PASSED! The book is a quick read and has lots of questions/answers... NOT a surgical handbook, but a quick review for the months before boards.... written for the boards, and not meant to be a comprehensive textbook... read more

I just received the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Board Review from the Pearls of Wisdom series and I am deeply disappointed. First of all, it's not what they offer, it's boring, confusing, no good quality images and no surgical techniques. I know a lot of Plastic Surgery manuals that are way better than this one, the Michigan Manual for example, just to name one. What a stupid way to spend 100 bucks.
