This book is great if you are a math sponge.
By joshp - October 9, 2012Great if you are a math sponge, but it wasn't great for me. I'm not bad with math when interested, but numerical methods obviously is very math-laden due to the prevalence of iterative methods and this book did absolutely nothing to pique my interest. I ended up spending more time on other courses due to the combination of a boring lecturer and a boring book.
On the bright side, it makes an excellent reference.
