Good Reading Curriculum

This book is for the 2nd grade Harcourt Reading Curriculum Banner Days/Just for You. I like Harcourt's reading curriculum. I am currently using the first grade curriculum and now have ordered the second grade curriculum. In this book, there are worksheets for grammar/punctuation for each lesson and then standardized test practices for the stories in the textbooks. One of the worksheets for each lesson lists the spelling words which you can use each week for the student's words. I use this curriculum for homeschooling and I order the practice books, textbooks, and spelling book. If you like the way public school curriculums are formatted and designed then you will likely like this curriculum. I like it a lot.

We're using this workbook in conjunction with the textbook. This is our first year of homeschool and I wanted to start with using all the resources his school would be using this year. This workbook is for the first half of 2nd grade. Each section corresponds to a story in the textbook Trophies: Just for You (Theme 2, 2-1). There is a nice variety of activities that include grammar, reading comprehension, word usage and spelling. At the end of the workbook you will find extensive multiple choice reading comprehension questions for each story in the textbook. I didn't realize this until 3-4 weeks into the school year.

GREAT 2nd grade reading book series and excellent workbook

the 2nd grade student reader i believe, is broke down into three themes and you will need a teachers edition for EACH theme.
This is a great reading book series and this supporting workbook is great reinforcement for students. . Lots of application and infering skills are used as well as cross curriuclum activities.
