By Andrea Hoffman "andy" - May 16, 20102 small=2 stars. This puzzle book is the size of an old-time paperback book and the clues and the puzzles are on two different pages. Not the format for me. Not convenient and not user friendly. Be careful to read the descriptions so that you won't make the same mistake I did.
Fun and good for beginners.

A life-saver for my 92-year-old father-in-law
By Lurfy's Ma - July 26, 2010My father-in-law has been doing the NY Times crosswords for 70+ years. He doesn't do the Sunday puzzle because it's too hard. He says he likes Monday and Tuesday best. He likes to do them a day late so he can peek.
Sadly, his mobility and vision have been deteriorating. He had a fall recently and was in the hospital for awhile. I got him this book. Everyone said he wouldn't use it. They had bought other books for him and he just did the ones in the paper. For some reason, maybe because he was bed-ridden, he fell in love with this book. He was bragging to me that he did a couple only peeking once.
I am grateful to Will Shortz for this book which is just the right level for my FIL. I'll get him another when he finishes this one.
