By perla - February 26, 2012The book is interesting and helpful. BUT,... buying it used was a problem, because I had to purchase the Student Access Kit separatly for around 23.00 dollars. If you buy it new, it comes with the book because you have the reciept and this allows you to use the website to test yourself and much more. Before buying it used, ask if the text comes with the Access Kit.
Good book for Meteorology students
By Charelle Sonya Ayesha Trim - June 25, 2011This book is very detailed about how the atmosphere works without being too technical for a beginners class in meteorology. It has colored pictures which explains processes thoroughly and it is very up to date with current weather phenomenon.
A general introduction to the Atmosphere
By traveled - August 15, 2012This book is what it promises. However, there are no descriptions of specific cloud forms like cumulus cappillatus etc. It will not help you learn to be a better weather forecaster when out hiking etc.
This book is truly just a general guide to the atmosphere, probably used for 101 college level courses.
