What are the causal mechanisms that mediate the effect of IT systems on customer satisfaction? Does the effect of IT on customer satisfaction differ across industry sectors? Based on an analysis of longitudinal data on 50 U.S. firms for the period 1994-2000, we document the association between IT investments and customer satisfaction. We find support for the hypotheses that the effect of IT investments on customer satisfaction is mediated through the effect of IT on perceived quality and perceived value. Our results also indicate that the effect of IT investments on customer satisfaction differs between the manufacturing and service sectors. While prior work on the business value of IT at the firm level focused on financial and accounting measures, our research establishes the effect of IT investments on overall customer satisfaction of a firm. We propose and validate a theory of mediation effects of perceived quality and perceived value. This proposal has the potential to synthesize information systems effectiveness and marketing literature towards an integrative understanding of the relationship between IT investments and customer satisfaction.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:106:\"images/t/195/effect-of-information-technology-investments-on-customer-satisfaction-theory-and-evidence.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:107:\"images/t2/195/effect-of-information-technology-investments-on-customer-satisfaction-theory-and-evidence.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:89:\"effect-of-information-technology-investments-on-customer-satisfaction-theory-and-evidence\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"38\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"5\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"1\";}i:7;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"582703\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:14:\"dennisphillips\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:6:\"631294\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:70:\"Challenges and Opportunities for the Wealth Sector in Switzerland 2014\";s:11:\"description\";s:155:\"This report is a thorough analysis of Switzerland’s Wealth Management and Private Banking sector,\nand the opportunities and challenges that it faces.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:88:\"images/t/5828/challenges-and-opportunities-for-the-wealth-sector-in-switzerland-2014.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:89:\"images/t2/5828/challenges-and-opportunities-for-the-wealth-sector-in-switzerland-2014.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:70:\"challenges-and-opportunities-for-the-wealth-sector-in-switzerland-2014\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"3\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:8;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:5:\"15826\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:7:\"samanta\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:4:\"1916\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:67:\"Aid, Governance, and the Political Economy: Growth and Institutions\";s:11:\"description\";s:842:\"\"Good Governance\" is central to the agenda for growth and for aid in low income countries. The broad contours of what this implies are clear, and there is strong evidence that deep- rooted economic institutions are of first order importance for sustained economic growth. But we know much less about the specific policies or political institutions that are necessary or sufficient for good economic governance. There are no detailed road maps, only some sensible general directions. Furthermore, outsiders only rarely have a positive effect on deep institutions; to date, aid has not usually improved institutions. Institutional change is a top priority but remains largely a local matter. For countries without a natural institutional anchor, this represents a major difficulty for achieving and surpassing the Millennium Development Goals.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:81:\"images/t/159/aid-governance-and-the-political-economy-growth-and-institutions.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:82:\"images/t2/159/aid-governance-and-the-political-economy-growth-and-institutions.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:64:\"aid-governance-and-the-political-economy-growth-and-institutions\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"52\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:9;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:4:\"8171\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"shinta\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:3:\"377\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:82:\"Growing the Green Economy Through Green Chemistry and Design for the Environment\";s:11:\"description\";s:721:\"For more than fifteen years, green chemistry (GC) and design for the environment
