Whether you are new to the Christian faith or a seasoned pastor, "Accept no mediocre life" provides refreshing biblical views that will challenge the way you live your life. This motivational book follows on the heels of Foster's recent and highly acclaimed work entitled "The power to prevail: turning your adversities into advantages (2003)." Although Foster's writing style is largely down-to-earth, he interjects countless quotes and stories throughout the book, resulting in an approach that satisfies both the curious reader and the academic. If you enjoy books by John Ortberg (eg, "If you want to walk on water, you have to get out of the boat"), you will also enjoy David Foster. "Accept no mediocre life" is highly recommended for anyone who has a desire to strive for the best; it is also excellent for small group discussions.

This book is amazing! It has a very natural flow of conversation so that makes it easy to read and relate to.
It is helping me become more accountable to myself, my family, and my career.
If you are looking to better yourself in anyway, this book is the one to read over and over and over again. Good luck with you personal development!

Awesome book

This was my first David Foster book, but it definitely won't be my last. Paster Foster writes in a very simple, humorous, and amazing way...as if he knows everything about you. I read this book as part of a study group which made it even more enjoyable. Very motivating!
