Best reference to have on your desk.
By M. Sheumack - November 12, 2006This is a NOT a text book for learning engineering mathematics. Its just way too dry. However, it is the single best reference to have next to you while you are working as a scientist, engineer or (as I have found recently) economist. After you leave University, you aren't going to remember all the various expansions, techniques and log rules. Once you are working, you will have this book on your book shelf.
A book with deep insight in Math for UG students...

At first, I was bit scared looking at the size of this book. As days progressed, I realized the very deep insight it gives for the UG engg students. The practical illustrations complementing the concepts are the highlights of this book.
The 4 star rating is because this book starts with very advanced topics and is not much suitable for self-study. Otherwise, it is a great Math book to have. Highly recommended for any UG/PG student who wants to learn the intricacies of engineering mathematics.
An outstanding work for engineers

Not designed to be a formal text in mathematics, the target audience is the engineering student, as the title implies. The text is very well written and there are a variety of additional solution manuals available. This is a very highly recommended text for the engineering student.
