great book/hard to put down.......I spend quite a few late nights[ unable to put it down] I look forward to more Jon Wells Publications
True crime are my easy read comfort books, I typically grab a couple every time I go to the library. Took out Poison and was hooked from the first paragraph. Sad but fascinating story and Wells' writing style (he's a journalist and it shows) works really well for the content. Definitely recommend and I'll be looking out for his others.
I like reading about crime but too many books of the 'true-crime' variety are either overly sensationalist and badly written or else padded out with so much extraneous detail that they become tedious. This book represents the best of the genre. Aside from the last chapter or two which stand as a, epilogue of sorts, the book is gripping from start to finish and the author's style is eminently readable. I read it in two days and thoroughly enjoyed it.
