Made all the difference
By Brownie Revere - May 25, 2010I bought both Vol I and Vol II of the Survival Guide, and I'm glad I did. I bought these volumes when I realized that the Kieso textbook, which offers a tantalizingly huge number of questions, exercises, and problems, offers no answers or checks of any kind. The Survival Guide resolves this frustrating feature by presenting several problems and multiple choice exercises for each chapter, each followed by a very clear and thorough explanation. The Survival Guides also feature supplementary explanatory text which I found extremely helpful in understanding the concepts presented in each chapter of the textbook. This isn't a 5-star review only because the chapter on leases (Vol II) was not as clear as the other Guide chapters, and there were a number of typesetting errors.
Better grades, computation mastery and less text anxiety!

Great supplement!
By C. Palermo - September 29, 2009The Intermediate Accounting Problem Solving Survival Guide, Volume 1, is a great supplement to the textbook. It provides additional explainations, self-tests, examples and problems with solutions, which provide clarity to the information presented in the text. Well worth the money. I'll be purchasing Volume 2 when I take Intermediate II in the spring.
