Great starter book!

I've never played a musical instrument in my life, nor can I read music, so I thought this would be a good starter book, & it is, even for someone age 37. The DVD & CD are a great plus and help you feel like you're really moving along. The pace seems right and the notes are identified within the music initially to help in the learning process. I recommend this to anyone looking to start out.

Bought this book for my son who is transitioning from violin to viola. They use the Essential Elements books in his district. He has been able to teach himself alto cleff from this book
