Gets the Job Done

In working on my certification exams, I have used a variety of books from different providers: Wiley press, Thompson, Sybex and Microsoft Press. The official 'Approved Microsoft IT Academy' books in this series are great. I have used them for 2 of the Vista Exams and for 2 of the Win 2K3 Server exams. Greg Bott does a great job of introducing a lot of concepts and practices in a very short space. Botts' writing was a pleasure to read.

The key feathers that make this book great are: First, each chapter has a concise learning objectives at the beginning of the chapter. Second, the body of the chapters has practical exercises, and these exercises are further supplemented by Lab Manual. Bott writes in a clear concise manner. There are also three reader aids throughout the books that help you dive deeper.
