Better Than The Original!

Like the original 1964 World's Fair book from Bill Cotter and Bill Young New York World's Fair, The 1964-1965 (NY) (Images of America) this book is a fast paced, picture packed journey through history. The book has the same format as the original with an abundance of great pictures and excellent writing, yet it's a completely fresh and exciting way to look at the fair.

The book captures the momentum of the fair as it grew from an idea into reality. Beyond the fair, it sets about telling the stories of the exhibits that made it into the fair. Remarkably Cotter and Young include quite a bit of information (including pictures) from exhibits that didn't make it into the fair. These are things you simply can't find anywhere else!

Fun book

If you had seen the N.Y. Worlds Fair and can still remember it almost a half century later,
it was fun to think back on it. The info provided in this book was good giving some insight that only time can reveal. Unfortunitely all pics are in black and white.

He picked this book out as part of his Christmas Gift. He visited New York prior to this and wanted to learn some of the history of the fair...I believe he enjoyed this book.
