Great Book but try to search out 2011 edition not 2009 edition

Great book that will succeed in informing but not intimidating the layperson on the health topic of macular degeneration. As a public librarian who specializes in nonfiction, in our profession, we do spend time learning to quickly and critically judge a book not only by it's cover but also it's contents.
Is the print easy to read? Is the language easily comprehended? It the subject matter broad in scope and depth?
I really do love this series on health books for all those reasons. Recommended for public libraries and well as individual readers.
So many health books are heavy, intimidating and overwhelming. Not characteristics someone who is just diagnosed or trying frantically to help a loved one really prefers in a book. This title is highly recommended for someone searching for information on all forms of md.
**My only concern is that our library copy is the newer 2011 whereas this only print edition is found on Amazon is the 2009 edition (as of 1/13/12) which... read more
