Great book for my daughter's hospital visit for tonsillectomy

I saved this for the morning of the hospital visit to pass the time while we waited to be taken into surgery. The activity of finding the stickers and putting them in the book was a good distraction and my daughter enjoyed it. She's nearly 3 and this book was perfect for her, could work for older kids, too. Will definately buy again for friends and family with small children who need to go to the hospital. Little boy in the book is going in for tubes.

Good book to prepare 2 yo. for surgery

We have the older version without the stickers. This book really helped prepare our two year old for her thumb surgery, although she didn't know it. Shen got it a month before the big day. Read it a few times a week. We brought it to the hospital and pointed out all the things that were going on she had seen it the book. The anesthesiologist was very impressed with her, he expected her to resist the gas mask, but she had no issues. I highly recommend this book to prepare toddlers for surgery. Most of the other hospital books are about broken bones.

Great book for preparing kid for ear tube surgery!

My daughter liked this book. It was easy for her to understand and explained the process without scaring her. It really helped to prepare her for ear tubes surgery. I also read her "Chris gets ear tubes". I recommend both of these books for kids going through surgery.
