      \n(P < 0.05). Although the WBC counts on days 4 and 5 were significantly
      \nhigher in adults than in children (P 5 0.006 and 0.004, respectively), the
      \nnumbers of circulating CD341 cells/unit of blood were identical. The
      \nnumber of blood CD341 cells collected per unit of blood processed was
      \nidentical in both donor populations. We propose that PBSCs could be
      \neffectively mobilized and collected in small children so that they could be
