H. Michael Dreher & Mary Ellen Smith Glasgow: Role Development for Doctoral Advanced Practice is an essential textbook for all clinical doctorate nursing programs. As Chair of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Committee and Graduate Program Director of the 2nd largest Catholic University in New England I am planning to adopt this textbook to stimulate discussion during the DNP Scholarship and Advanced Practice clinical immersion courses during the last year of the program. While there other textbooks written about the Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree this book is unique in that it goes beyond the eight DNP Essentials outlined by the American Association Colleges of Nursing (AACN). The editors highlight the DNP graduate roles as practitioner, clinical executive, educator, clinical scientist and clinical scholar. Great Book!

This review is based on the kindle version of this book. Overall it is an excellent book - very informative about the role of the Doctoral of Nursing Practice program. On the kindle version I am unable, however, to use the page number facility on the kindle App on the iPad to match page numbers with the print edition. By the way, it's a 1st Gen iPad.
