Napoleon's Dragoons and Lancers (Men-At-Arms Series, No 55)

Customer Reviews:

Poor anatomy

By danny boy "dbswongv" - July 15, 2010

These books are all about illustrations. 48 pages of text including 8 pages of illustrations. Angus McBride is the artist here. but as can be seen, this is one of his earlier and poorer efforts. The men's torsos are too short in relation to their body proportions in general.

Great reference source in the usual Osprey style.

By William J. Shepherd - January 6, 2009

Like the vast majority of Osprey books, this is an excellent military history overview with concise text and wonderful illustrations. This is an important and informative reference work for me as I research my ancestor, Martin Louis Charpentier, who served in the 4th French Dragoon regiment before emigrating to Pennsylvania after the wars were over.
