The dream I speak of here is the one vernacularly translated as that of black boys and white boys holding hands together. Some would say it is his nightmare. What do I mean? Hip hop is the most multicultural of popular musical forms - all races and ethnicities are involved. Simultaneously hip hop is also the most racialized, and indeed the most blackened, musical form of our times.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:67:\"images/t/778/post-civil-rights-music-or-why-hip-hop-is-dominant.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:68:\"images/t2/778/post-civil-rights-music-or-why-hip-hop-is-dominant.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:50:\"post-civil-rights-music-or-why-hip-hop-is-dominant\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"8\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:1;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:5:\"47333\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:9:\"kimisland\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:4:\"5432\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:154:\"Kimberly\'s Complaint Against NAACP for Refusing to Provide Assistance, Representation & Support As Promised When Kimberly\'s Civil Rights Were Violated\";s:11:\"description\";s:1978:\"This is a complaint against the NAACP to the State of Maryland Attorney General\'s Office. The NAACP blows a lot of hot air but when it comes time to back up their promises and claims of supporting and providing backing for the victim whose civil rights were violated, they become hard to reach and refuse to provide any assistance to those who are experiencing serious, most severe civil rights violations. They seem to only latch themselves onto \"media blitz stories\" and come crowding in to gain the spotlight; nothing more, and much less. They tell you things like, \"Oh, we will get you legal representation very soon and what we do is come on soft in the beginning, but later on we really come on strong when \"they\" (the perpetrators) least expect it. Trouble is, the NAACP never comes at all. They send meaningless, ignorant, even troubling, dysfunctional emails that lend no support at all but render the victim even more victimized. They need to sued and then cleaned out for a new generation of civil rights representatives and agents who will truly stand behind the victims and paid NAACP members of egregious abuses and discrimination; civil rights discrimination and violations. Henry Luvert, a Branch President and Oscar Eason a now or previous President -- [both] of the NAACP Branches, reply to pleas for help with empty emails or excuses, and even citing incorrect Bible scriptures in attempts to show their ignorance and refusal to step in and help. All email documentation and complaint content were sent to the Maryland Office of Attorney General for swift action. Now a mediator has been assigned to recoop the membership fees that Kimberly was told she needed to pay in order to receive assistance and legal representation from the NAACP. This was a fraudulent act on part of the NAACP as Kimberly later learned from another NAACP President out of Louisiana that no membership fee was necessary in order for her to receive backing and support from the NAACP.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:117:\"images/t/474/kimberly-s-complaint-against-naacp-for-refusing-to-provide-assistance-representation-support-as-prom.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:118:\"images/t2/474/kimberly-s-complaint-against-naacp-for-refusing-to-provide-assistance-representation-support-as-prom.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:100:\"kimberly-s-complaint-against-naacp-for-refusing-to-provide-assistance-representation-support-as-prom\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"49\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:2;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"120455\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:4:\"rita\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:32:\"Civil War Weapons and Technology\";s:11:\"description\";s:181:\"\n

Almost every agency told us that the biggest problems facing their clients involve meeting basic needs - coping with poverty, hunger, illiteracy, inadequate medical care, lack of transportation, and homelessness. In addition to those basic needs issues, people with HIV face a series of critical civil rights problems. Individuals living with HIV/AIDS need to know their rights and need the resources to advocate for themselves when their rights are threatened. They also need national legal organizations like the ACLU AIDS Project to enforce their civil rights and civil liberties through litigation, public education and legislative advocacy. This report provides a starting point for discussions among local providers and national advocacy groups. Our findings are based on interviews with CBOs and their colleagues on the frontlines of the epidemic. In the next section, we outline the problems that need immediate attention. The last section of the report describes how we plan to address some of the most pressing civil rights issues facing people living with HIV/AIDS.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:33:\"images/t/389/hiv-civil-rights.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:34:\"images/t2/389/hiv-civil-rights.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:16:\"hiv-civil-rights\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"13\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:4;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"113622\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:7:\"hendrik\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:69:\"Citizenship, Rights, Duties, and Responsibility of Being and American\";s:11:\"description\";s:226:\"\n

United States Constitution, Amendment I Your free exercise of religion is protected throughout the United States so long as your Islamic belief is sincerely held. The First Amendment gives you the right to seek relief from U.S. laws and regulations that burden your religious beliefs and practices without a compelling interest. In fact, the free exercise of religion provided for by the First Amendment is the American Muslim woman who observes Hijab (a headscarf and modest dress) as a matter of conscience. The original version of the amendment introduced in 1789 by James Madison stated: "The civil rights of none shall be abridged on the account of religious belief … nor shall the full and equal rights of conscience in any manner or on any pretext be infringed."\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:59:\"images/t/381/a-muslim-woman-s-guide-to-her-civil-rights.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:60:\"images/t2/381/a-muslim-woman-s-guide-to-her-civil-rights.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:42:\"a-muslim-woman-s-guide-to-her-civil-rights\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"18\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:6;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"124008\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:5:\"danae\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:28:\"Civil[Rights]Accomplishments\";s:11:\"description\";s:321:\"\n

The nursing home and their parent company, Pinnacle, made false 9-1-1 calls to the Eugene Police Dept. that resulted in the Black woman being assaulted and brutalized, mentally traumatized also when she had decided and was actively pursuing the Pinnacle employees, Anthony Knippers and his hired felon, Jason McEldowney, for the theft and disappearance of nearly all of her belongings. They had the innocent woman sent to a mental health ward where she was evaluated by two doctors there and released having none of the conditions that were falsely alleged against her by the nursing home; Pinnacle. When the woman returned back to the nursing home at night, freezing outside, she was locked out of the facility and made to sit in an iron green patio chair outside the door until a community activist group came and rescued her. The NAACP of Eugene, Oregon and the NAACP of Maryland agreed to represent and provide support and legal representation for her, and to actively intervene on her behalf, but they lied as most of the members \"back east\" in Maryland, are ignorant, gap-tooth, shiftless, and buffoon type clowns who ape one another and provide no civil rights backing to most who contact them. Many promises and blow-hard words were made but very little action was done. They would not even picket with the woman who had made handsome signs to picket with. They are useless and pretty much no back-boned. The NAACP needs to be cleaned out and new, serious, intelligent, willing and active members to replace the old ignorant buffoons who rarely if at all, take civil rights matters seriously on behalf of people of color unless they see something \"tantilizing\" and \"hot topic\" in the media, then they pretend to be intelligent when really they cannot even hold down a decent and intelligent interview that would actually make a difference.
