Three-D Electromagnetic Field Analysis: Proceedings of the International Symposium and TEAM Workshop Held in Okayama, Japan, September 1989

This book, published as a supplement to the journal COMPEL, contains the proceedings of the International Symposium and TEAM Workshop, 3DMAG, held in Okayama from 11-13 September 1989. It will provide a reference source for all those in the field by presenting an up-to-date and comprehensive view of current work in this area. It comprises 82 papers by experts from a wide range of countries and organizations. The papers given at the symposium are grouped into sections covering recent developments in 3-D electromagnetic field analysis, new approaches in eddy current analysis, numerical and software methods, optimal design method, modellings and applications, parallel computation and software methods. Papers presented at the TEAM workshop covered the problems of the bath cube, the asymmetrical conductor with a hole, the coil above a crack, the steel plates around a coil, the hollow sphere in a step field and the cantilever beam in a crossed field, as well as suggesting several future problems.
