Excerpt: Cali Iz Active is the fourth studio album by Tha Dogg Pound and is also the name of the album's title track and lead single. It was released through Koch and Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle Records on June 27, 2006. The album debuted at number 28 on the Billboard 200 charts, selling just over 30,000 records, but reached number one on the Top Independent albums chart and 4th on Hot Rap albums chart. Besides Daz and Kurupt, the album also features Tha Dogg Pound family (Snoop Dogg, RBX, Soopafly, Nate Dogg, and Bad Azz). Also appearing are David Banner, Ice Cube, Paul Wall and producers Battlecat, Fredwreck, Swizz Beatz, Jazze Pha and P. Diddy.
