Racing fans most read this book!
By J. W. Mcabee "JMac253" - November 26, 2007I've been following the Bostrom brothers ever since I got into racing as a kid. JY Johnny really opened my eyes to the history of my childhood heroes and the darker side of the motorcycle business. I recommend this book to all racing fans young and old.
A really good book
By Dan-o "Dan-o" - October 31, 2007I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a insightful view into the world, or underworld, of the motorcycle business. As a racing fan, and insider in the business, I found this book to be very accurate to the experiences I have had working within the motorcycle racket. This book touches little ground in respect to Ben and Eric's rise to the top of the American racing scene and does not, in my opinion, slander these guys in any way. Instead, this book exposes the workings of the darker side of the motorcycle dealership and salvage business, and how these boys rose from the shadows to achieve their own successes. A very good read for any enthusiast.
Memories
By J. Draper - November 27, 2009I picked this book up, having no idea who wrote it or what it was about! Imagine my suprise. All the memories of hanging out in the shop, breaking bikes for you and charlie, driving bob crazy just for the fun of it, and let us not forget about racing around the shop, and two and from work. I still remember being awarded my first gold star for my tank I really miss those days. I must say that I was completely unaware of all the things going on around me! I guess I was just blinded by the good time I was having and that I was only there part of the time.
I think this book is outstanding! The Bostrom Conspiracy really gives a taste of what life was like for people like us during those times. The shop was a fun place to work and hang out in; however there was an unmistakable feeling of things going on behind closed doors all the time, we just didn't care.
