Every year I am sent several introduction to philosophy texts by various academic publishers. I receive brochures describing dozens more. Although I have never done a count, I suspect that there must be hundreds of texts from which to choose. Some of these texts are creditable and appropriate for an introductory class in philosophy. Others fail for a variety of reasons. Some are in between. "Twenty Questions" is one that is in between.
This book is divided into six main parts: Philosophy, Religion, and the Meaning of Life; Science, Mind, and Nature; Thinking and Knowing; The Dilemmas of Personhood; Living a Good Life; Justice and Responsibility. Each part is then subdivided into a series of questions. For example, "Science, Mind, and Nature" asks three questions: "What does science tell me about the world? I got this book as the main one of three for my philosophy class. It's very informative and quite detailed.
This textbook was required by our professor so that's why I purchased it but overall the seller sent it on time and the item was as described. I can't say I've read the entire book but the sections which I have already read, I would recommend this book to somebody who has never taken an introductory course in philosophy. There is a good amount of material for its price.
