Waste of money!
By LEC - June 29, 2012Recently, I purchased this book and was looking forward to the 'tips' it promised. The book was a big disappointment and, I feel, a waste of money. First, the tips are written as if they are scientifically factual, but no scientific/medical references are given for any of the material. Second, no warning is included in the book for asthma sufferers to discuss the use of these tips with their healthcare provider before using them. This, despite the fact the author/publisher did manage to include a statement saying they were not liable for 'damage or injury to you' if you followed any of the tips given in the book. (See Title Page) Third, many of the tips were stated repeatedly. For example, Exercise/Exercising as a method to help Asthma sufferers is mentioned, at least, six times. (#5 Yoga, #29 Exercise, #36 Exercise, #49 Swimming, #54 Exercise and #87 Exercise In Moderation.) Essential and useful reading...
By Island - November 9, 2010As someone who suffered badly from Asthma as a child and whom still gets regular bouts of wheezing, I like to keep up with most of the new books that come out on the subject.
Even though this is just a series of relatively short tips, I found them both practical and useful, and there were a few tips in this book that I wasn't aware of - which is really helpful. Highly recommended.
Straightforward, commonsense advice...Kindle version is a steal!

And I must say that, although the tips are very simple and to the point, there were many out of the 92 that I hadn't heard of or even considered! Highly recommended - especially the Kindle version as it's so cheap!
