Road to Reading: A Program for Preventing and Remediating Reading Difficulties (Vital Statistics)
This supplementary reading program for students in grades 1-4 picks up where Road to the Code leaves off. It includes 6 levels that increase in complexity and targets phonological awareness, new words, oral reading, and dictation.
This program is fantastic!

After being contacted by my son's second grade teacher and hearing that he is below average in reading, writing, and spelling I decided to take him for an assessment to determine if he may be dyslexic. Dyslexia runs in our family and I decided it was probably the best route to take. While the center couldn't diagnose dyslexia, my son showed strong signs that he is dyslexic. Road to Reading Am I Missing Something?
By Linda J. Platshonh "Linda P." - February 9, 2011
I am having difficulty with Road to Reading. I cannot type out weekly lessons plans on the forms. They must be handwritten onto the template. Road to the Code had scripted directions. This program has nothing. Several teachers at our school have reviewed it and feel the same. I am very disappointed with this book.
road to reading intervention program
By P. Anderson - March 13, 2009
The book was in very good condition as was the CD that accompanies the book. I can't say enough about the intervention program. It has been a very successful means of helping young children primarily 1st graders to accomplish secure and effective strategies for learning to read. the book came in a matter of days and normally sells for much more but I received a used one and it was fine. thanks
