Neuroprotective Agents: Third International Conference (Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences)

This volume of conference papers from the Third International Conference on Neuroprotective Agents, clarifies the physical and biochemical mechanisms underlying neuronal injury and cell death following ischemia and traumatic injury. It defines current concepts of clinical syndromes that may be ameliorated by neuroprotective agents, and describes proposed mechanisms, therapeutic actions, toxicity, and clinical applications of the various neuroprotective agents currently under study.
