There is a human need to be part of something bigger than ourselves. This is the reason many choose to belong to a religious affiliation. Religious organizations invest a lot of time in recruiting and teaching potential members as to why their belief system is superior to the others. In studying several cultures and religions, it becomes clear that at the heart of most, they are identical even if several doctrinal differences occur. Mormonism is no different. Joseph Smith was successful in taking the Christian Bible and reconstructing its contents to form a spiritual offspring. For Carma Naylor, it has been a lifelong pilgrimage to come to terms with what had been ingrained in her through Mormonism to what she now believes to be truth. I liked the story line. The first time we tried to get this book, it wasn't available. The 2nd time we tried we got it. I was grateful to get it as it was a sequel to the first book.
