Al-kitaab Part Two Audio on the Go (Arabic Edition)

Now available in MP3 format, this Audio On the Go CD contains all of the audio featured in the second edition DVDs for Al-Kitaab Part Two.

While the audio on this CD is not new or different from the audio featured on the second edition DVDs bound into each book, the MP3 format allows for easy portability. Files can be transferred to an MP3 device, played on a computer, or played on some home or portable CD players.

These easy-to-use audio files are ideal for: • Students who want extra practice • Teachers who want to play the audio in class • Language labs

Language labs that purchase a copy of any Audio On the Go CD will automatically receive rights to (a) post an electronic copy of the MP3 files on a secure (password-protected) network for use by current students and faculty at their institution; and (b) loan the number of purchased copies to students. The first disc was completely blank!

This is a great idea in principle, but not if you don't actually get what you paid for. There were two MP3 discs. The second one, containing lessons 6 through 10, was fine, but the first (the one I really wanted!) containing Lessons 1-5 was a totally blank disc!!! What's up with that??? Total irresponsibility on the part of the manufacturers. Thumbs way down!

Great idea to create MP3 on the go. Al-Kitaab is by far the best language programme for Arabic! My only quibble is that track 27 would not play on any device - perhaps it was not recorded properly...Otherwise, a very helpful CD.

This CD version of the al-Kitaab DVD has proven to be extremely useful. I put these audio tracks on my iPod and it has allowed me to do listening exercises when I don't have access to my computer--on campus, on the bus, etc. I've also had a much easier time learning the vocabulary because I can listen to the example sentences wherever I happen to be, especially when I'm at the gym!
