\nthe customary laboratory setting. Protocols involving
\nwild animals must consider that any infringement on the
\nwild nature of the species can be disruptive and may involve
\npain, fear, anxiety, and frustration, all of which constitute
\nethical harm that must be balanced with anticipated benefit.
\nAgricultural and companion animal research, however,
\ntake place in a human-engineered environment and involves
\ndomesticated species adapted to human contact. Special
\nanimal welfare issues can be related to agricultural
\nproduction goals that fail to deal adequately with moral
\nconcerns. Human/companion animal relationships, on the
\nother hand, present unique moral obligations to animal owners.
\nOther factors may present additional ethical issues when
\nresearch is performed outside the laboratory. These factors
\ninclude a required sensitivity to the environment of wild
\nanimals and an awareness that this outside research may to
\nquite public and, therefore, vulnerable to community perception.
\nThe institutional animal care and use committee
\n(IACUC) has the responsibility to ensure that research in
\noutside settings is ethical and properly implemented. This
\nresponsibility requires that IACUC members have knowledge
\nof the needs of a wide range of species and that a
\nprocess is in place to allow effective monitoring of research
\nin remote locations. Finally, and most important, there must
\nbe a sensitivity to the unique ethical considerations outlined
\nhere. Armed with these strengths, the IACUC will be effective
\nin what may be unfamiliar surroundings and will have
\na significant opportunity to cause improvements in animal
\nwelfare.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:80:\"images/t/49/ethical-issues-concerning-animal-research-outside-the-laboratory.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:81:\"images/t2/49/ethical-issues-concerning-animal-research-outside-the-laboratory.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:64:\"ethical-issues-concerning-animal-research-outside-the-laboratory\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"4\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"3\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"2\";}i:3;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:4:\"5972\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:11:\"theonlyrice\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:4:\"1387\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:16:\"pet, dog, animal\";s:11:\"description\";s:16:\"pet, dog, animal\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:30:\"images/t/60/pet-dog-animal.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:31:\"images/t2/60/pet-dog-animal.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:14:\"pet-dog-animal\";s:5:\"pages\";s:3:\"356\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:4;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:4:\"9018\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"shinta\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:3:\"377\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:82:\"Information, Animal Spirits, and the Meaning of Innovations in Consumer Confidence\";s:11:\"description\";s:808:\"Innovations to measures of consumer confidence convey incremental information about economic activity
\nfar into the future. Comparing the shapes of impulse responses to confidence innovations in the data with
\nthe predictions of a calibrated New Keynesian model, we find little evidence of a strong causal channel
\nfrom autonomous movements in sentiment to economic outcomes (the “animal spirits” interpretation).
\nRather, these impulse responses support an alternative hypothesis that the surprise movements in
\nconfidence reflect information about future economic prospects (the “information” view). Confidence
\ninnovations are best characterized as noisy measures of changes in expected productivity growth over a
\nrelatively long horizon.

\nconcerning investment decisions, “most, probably, of our decisions to do some-
\nthing positive, the full consequences of which will be drawn out over many days
\nto come, can only be taken as the result of animal spirits–a spontaneous urge to
\naction rather than inaction, and not as the outcome of a weighted average of quan-
\ntitative benefits multiplied by quantitative probabilities.” Because of the propen-
\nsity of investors to base decisions on variables other than “market fundamentals,”
\nthe aggregate investment function of an economy will tend to be erratic. Indeed,
\neven today, it is virtually impossible to predict aggregate investment successfully,
\nalthough the other sources of aggregate demand and supply are relatively well un-
\nderstood. Keynesian economic policy suggested that government use anti-cyclical
\nspending and taxation to counter the vicissitudes of aggregate investment. While
\ncountercyclical monetary policy might also have the same effect via the interest
\nrate, Keynes’ theory of the “liquidity trap” suggested that investment is quite in-
\nsensitive to the interest rate. Experience bears out Keynes on this point, at least for
\nlarge shortfalls in aggregate demand. In an economic downturn, it is critical that
\nthe monetary authority ensure a high level of liquidity to avoid artificial curbs on
\nthe willingness of businesses to invest, but liquidity itself is not sufficient to restart
\nprofitable investment.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:59:\"images/t/91/animal-spirits-or-complex-adaptive-dynamics.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:60:\"images/t2/91/animal-spirits-or-complex-adaptive-dynamics.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:43:\"animal-spirits-or-complex-adaptive-dynamics\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"11\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:6;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:5:\"18015\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:5:\"ahmet\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:16:\"dog, animal, pet\";s:11:\"description\";s:16:\"dog, animal, pet\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:31:\"images/t/181/dog-animal-pet.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:32:\"images/t2/181/dog-animal-pet.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:14:\"dog-animal-pet\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"1\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:7;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:5:\"28452\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:8:\"intersol\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:4:\"2118\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:29:\"http://ebooksolutionstore.com\";s:5:\"title\";s:42:\"Animal Sound Effects - Immediate Downloads\";s:11:\"description\";s:104:\"Download Animal Sound Effects from our comprehensive listing.
