This collection also includes Oscar Wilde’s most famous comedies, Lady Windermere’s Fan, A Woman of No Importance, and An Ideal Husband, as well as his poetic tragedy Saloméall written between 1891 and 1895, Wilde’s most creative period. George Bernard Shaw said of Oscar Wilde that he is our most thorough playwright. He plays with everything: with wit, with philosophy, with drama, with actors and audience, with the whole theater.”

Need a quick, lighthearted read to lift your spirits and make you laugh out loud? Then 'The Importance of Being Earnest' is a must read. The other plays included in this book are a bonus! Enjoy!
The Importance of Being Ernest is one of my favorite stories ever! It is such a fun, kindof contrived but really well-done story and very well written. Oscar Wilde has a wonderfully entertaining writing style and I've enjoyed reading the other stories that are included in this book as well.
I love Oscar Wilde plays. This is a fun little collection I had to have for one of theater classes. The characters are so much fun and the plots fantastic I highly suggest people read more plays, and Oscar wilde's are fun and pretty easy.
