\nongoing research in Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. Previously, cassava has been characterized as an “exploitive” crop,
\ndestructive of soil fertility. However, when cassava is grown as a component of a farming system, in which live stock and
\ncrops are closely integrated, its capacity to “exploit” the nutrients in live stock manure becomes a valuable asset.
\nCassava can produce very high yields, especially of protein (up to 4 tonnes/ha/year), which make it an ideal element for
\ntaking advantage of live stock wastes. The results are encouraging and lay the basis for future research and development
\nactivities that promise to have a major impact in tropical farming systems.

\nimportant for the evolution of a society. For centuries
      \nteaching processes have undergone considerable
\nevolution to reach the current stage. Several pedagogical
\ntheories have been studied, and new ones are being
\nproposed to allow this evolutionary process to continue.
\nThe Theory of Multiple Intelligences, by Howard
\nGardner, has been chosen as the theoretic guideline of
\nthe work presented in this paper. According to
\nGardner’s theory the human intellect can be divided into
\nareas of activity called intelligences which can develop to
\na different degree. Thus it is highly desirable that
\nteaching techniques are used to stimulate the greatest
\npossible number of intelligences. This approach, when
\napplied to a specific discipline brings out some significant
\nchallenges. In our specific case, Digital Systems heavily
\nfocus on logic reasoning while stimulating intelligences
\nother than those integrally related to the discipline under
\nstudy turns out to be a challenging task. Therefore, to
\nadvance a solution to the aforementioned challenge, this
\nwork introduces three tools designed to help the teacher
\ncreate his or her lessons, along with guidelines on a
\ncourse on Digital Systems built using these tools to
\nexemplify how such tools can be used.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:95:\"images/t/47/application-of-the-theory-of-multiple-intelligences-to-digital-systems-teaching.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:96:\"images/t2/47/application-of-the-theory-of-multiple-intelligences-to-digital-systems-teaching.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:79:\"application-of-the-theory-of-multiple-intelligences-to-digital-systems-teaching\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"6\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"4\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"2\";}i:7;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:4:\"4872\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"shinta\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:3:\"377\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:53:\"Autonomous Systems : Social, Legal and Ethical Issues\";s:11:\"description\";s:1155:\"This is a report of the discussion at a roundtable meeting held at The Royal
\nAcademy of Engineering on the social, legal and ethical issues surrounding the
\ndevelopment and use of autonomous systems. The meeting involved
\nstakeholders from a range of areas, including medicine and healthcare,
\ntransport, defence, systems engineering, computer science, financial systems,
\npublic engagement and policy development. A full list of participants and

\nAutonomous systems are likely to emerge in a number of areas over the
\ncoming decades. From unmanned vehicles and robots on the battlefield, to
\nautonomous robotic surgery devices, applications for technologies that can
\noperate without human control, learn as they function and ostensively make
\ndecisions, are growing. These technologies can promise great benefits,
\nreplacing humans in tasks that are mundane, dangerous and dirty, or detailed
\nand precise. They also have potential in allowing the remote performance of
\nvarious functions, from defusing bombs to monitoring the ill or housebound.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:66:\"images/t/49/autonomous-systems-social-legal-and-ethical-issues.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:67:\"images/t2/49/autonomous-systems-social-legal-and-ethical-issues.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:50:\"autonomous-systems-social-legal-and-ethical-issues\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"19\";s:6:\"rating\";s:7:\"2.66667\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"3\";}i:8;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:4:\"6084\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"shinta\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:3:\"377\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:38:\"Natural information processing systems\";s:11:\"description\";s:905:\"Natural information processing systems such as biological evolution and human cognition organize information used to govern the activities of natural entities. When dealing with biologically secondary information, these systems can be specified by five common principles that we propose underlie natural information processing systems. The principles equate: (1) human long-term memory with a genome; (2) learning from other humans with biological reproduction; (3) problem solving through random generate and test with random mutation; (4) working memory when processing novel information with the epigenetic system managing environmental information; (5) long-term working memory with the epigenetic system managing genomic information. These five principles provide an integrated perspective for the nature of human learning and thought. They also have implications for the presentation of information.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:54:\"images/t/61/natural-information-processing-systems.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:55:\"images/t2/61/natural-information-processing-systems.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:38:\"natural-information-processing-systems\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"25\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:9;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:4:\"7744\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"shinta\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:3:\"377\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:66:\"EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS\";s:11:\"description\";s:567:\"In this study the effectiveness of accounting information systems
