The Battle of Fredericksburg (VA): We Cannot Escape History (Civil War Sesquicentennial Series)

Customer Reviews:

The story of a massacre...

By R. Edward Merrell, Jr. "emerrell2" - April 5, 2013

Probably no important battle in the history of warfare was bungled as badly as this one, fought during our Civil War. Abraham Lincoln was generally an excellent judge of men; but he certainly failed in his selection of Union commanding generals, including Burnside, the commander in this battle...until he finally hit paydirt w/Grant. Highly recommended to Civil War buffs.
