This is a fantastic basic overview of the United States Air Force!

Another function of the force is that they also transport "military equipment and support civilian aircraft during emergencies." The Air Force was once a part of the Army, but after World War II separated and became the fifth branch. Perhaps the most interesting facet of this branch are the numerous aircraft available to protect our country.
In this book you will be able to take a look at the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F-22 Raptor, the B-2 Spirit (a stealth bomber), the C-5 Galaxy and the reconnaissance Drone. You'll also learn what their functions are. For example the F-16 Fighting Falcon is a fighting plane that can "fire machine guns and launch missiles at enemy aircraft." You'll also learn about their technology, opportunities for enlistees or officers and what qualifications you need to become an officer.
