During this process, market competition has been introduced and the competition mechanism has undergone changes. The function of the government has been changed by limiting excess interference in the economy, while the dual price system remains in some industries and public ownership plays a dominant role. These features of the Chinese economy can be captured when an imperfect competition market structure is introduced in a Chinese Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model. This paper builds a Chinese CGE model with imperfect competition and applies this model to an empirical case — the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. This model is in value of incorporating some keys features of Chinese transition economy and has wide applications for Chinese issues, such as international trade and agriculture. By holding the Olympic Games, the increased international tourism expenditures are injected into the host country economy. This paper will employ the developed CGE model to predict the economic impact of the international tourism brought by holding the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in China in the year 2008. The results show the whole economy impact and the industry level impact. Policy implications will be summarized from findings.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:117:\"images/t/149/modeling-competition-levels-in-the-chinese-economy-the-economic-impact-of-the-beijing-2008-olympic-g.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:118:\"images/t2/149/modeling-competition-levels-in-the-chinese-economy-the-economic-impact-of-the-beijing-2008-olympic-g.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:100:\"modeling-competition-levels-in-the-chinese-economy-the-economic-impact-of-the-beijing-2008-olympic-g\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"28\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:2;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:4:\"9186\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"shinta\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:3:\"377\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:120:\"Alternative Approaches in Estimating the Economic Effects of Non-Tariff Measures: Results from Newly Quantified Measures\";s:11:\"description\";s:610:\"This paper introduces a set of new estimates of NTM price gaps in a standard simulation model

\ntionally adequate diet of the lowest cost, since price and
\nnutrient contents are linearly related to food weight. Most
\ncomputer spreadsheets now include an easy-to-use solver
\nfunction that is suitable for this purpose. This approach
\ncan also be used to estimate the effect of introducing a
\nfood supplement on the minimal cost required to provide
\na nutritionally adequate diet. It can also provide an
\nestimate of the expenses saved by families in relation
\nto the sums spent by the donor after the distribution
\nof a food supplement. This method is illustrated by
\ncomparing the economic value of two food supplements,
\na traditional blended flour and a nutrient-dense spread

These include gross and net margin analysis and full cost accounting. This paper reviews their effectiveness in organic farming systems and finds that all of the techniques can be useful in helping to assess the economic efficiency of individual enterprises within an organic farming business, although they have their limitations. Organic systems require the integration of a number of usually complementary enterprises and therefore gross and net margins for particular enterprises taken out of the rotational or whole farm context can be misleading. Consequently it is important that any economic investigation of an organic system also includes whole farm economic analysis.\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:91:\"images/t/953/the-use-of-gross-and-net-margins-in-the-economic-analysis-of-organic-farms.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:92:\"images/t2/953/the-use-of-gross-and-net-margins-in-the-economic-analysis-of-organic-farms.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:74:\"the-use-of-gross-and-net-margins-in-the-economic-analysis-of-organic-farms\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"4\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:5;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"103999\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"samuel\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:87:\"The cost of poor customer service. the economic impact of customer experience in the us\";s:11:\"description\";s:88:\"The cost of poor customer service. the economic impact of customer experience in the us \";s:5:\"thumb\";s:128:\"data/thumb/The-cost-of-poor-customer-service.-the-economic-impact-of-customer-experience-in-the-us-Document-Transcript-21172.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:129:\"data/thumb2/The-cost-of-poor-customer-service.-the-economic-impact-of-customer-experience-in-the-us-Document-Transcript-21172.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:86:\"the-cost-of-poor-customer-service-the-economic-impact-of-customer-experience-in-the-us\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"8\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:6;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"106851\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:5:\"marco\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:55:\"The Economic Impact of Agriculture on the State of Utah\";s:11:\"description\";s:56:\"The Economic Impact of Agriculture on the State of Utah \";s:5:\"thumb\";s:96:\"data/thumb/The-Economic-Impact-of-Agriculture-on-the-State-of-Utah-Document-Transcript-31821.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:97:\"data/thumb2/The-Economic-Impact-of-Agriculture-on-the-State-of-Utah-Document-Transcript-31821.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:55:\"the-economic-impact-of-agriculture-on-the-state-of-utah\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"11\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:7;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"125911\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:9:\"valentina\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:1:\"0\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:103:\"Seattle HOPE VI Housing Developments and the Economic Effects of the Spatial Deconcentration of Poverty\";s:11:\"description\";s:227:\"\n

Some of these awards are listed in Table 1. The most notable of these awards are the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (U.S. Only), the Deming Prize, Six Sigma (Troy 1992), and the ISO 9000 programs. The Malcolm Baldrige Award and the ISO 9000 programs are the focus of this research. Because of their popularity each of these programs has well documented qualitative benefits that include improving competitiveness and increasing customer awareness; however, very little has been published on the quantitative benefits of these programs. This is particularly interesting in light of the current economic situation in the United States, where companies are looking for the best cost saving programs. It would seem then, that most of these organizations would want to know if the financial benefits associated with ISO 9000 registration and winning the Baldrige award outweigh the costs associated with obtaining the recognition. Thus a critical question is: Does the investment in ISO and Baldrige lead to a significant financial return?\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:114:\"images/t/133/an-examination-of-the-economic-benefits-of-iso-9000-and-the-baldrige-award-to-manufacturing-firms.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:115:\"images/t2/133/an-examination-of-the-economic-benefits-of-iso-9000-and-the-baldrige-award-to-manufacturing-firms.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:97:\"an-examination-of-the-economic-benefits-of-iso-9000-and-the-baldrige-award-to-manufacturing-firms\";s:5:\"pages\";s:2:\"69\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}i:9;O:8:\"stdClass\":13:{s:2:\"id\";s:6:\"598456\";s:6:\"status\";s:8:\"verified\";s:11:\"author_name\";s:6:\"vosprl\";s:9:\"author_id\";s:6:\"584264\";s:14:\"author_website\";s:0:\"\";s:5:\"title\";s:101:\"SouthAmerica.travel Offers a Tour Package to a Lesser-Known Region of Brazil, the Lencois Maranhenses\";s:11:\"description\";s:231:\"The tour operator SouthAmerica.travel now offers a tour package to Fortaleza Jericoacoara, Sao Luís, and Lencois Maranhenses, which are lesser-known tourist sites in the northeastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Maranhao.\n\";s:5:\"thumb\";s:118:\"images/t/5985/southamerica-travel-offers-a-tour-package-to-a-lesser-known-region-of-brazil-the-lencois-maranhenses.jpg\";s:6:\"thumb2\";s:119:\"images/t2/5985/southamerica-travel-offers-a-tour-package-to-a-lesser-known-region-of-brazil-the-lencois-maranhenses.jpg\";s:9:\"permalink\";s:100:\"southamerica-travel-offers-a-tour-package-to-a-lesser-known-region-of-brazil-the-lencois-maranhenses\";s:5:\"pages\";s:1:\"3\";s:6:\"rating\";s:1:\"0\";s:5:\"voter\";s:1:\"0\";}}', `cache_on` = '2015-02-28 08:56:34' WHERE `aff_id` = '92335'
