Translated by Constance Garnett. The Raw Youth or The Adolescent is a novel of Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky. It was first published in 1875. The novel chronicles the life of 19-year-old intellectual, Arkady Dolgoruky, illegitimate child of the controversial and womanizing landowner Versilov.
