This book deserves less than a 1 star
By J. Lalor "Merlin" - June 3, 2009I have only made it to page 37 and I have found at least 5 sections that should have been edited. There are phrases that make no sense, and misplaced words (very instead of vary, if instead of is, etc.). The writing is horrendous and it does not follow along with the competencies well. If you have never studied for the ESL Supplemental it might help, but be warned, the errors make it hard to read. I would recommend to friends that they don't ever buy this book. Look in the TExES preparation manual because it lists useful study books in the last few pages.
ESL Exam Secrets
By kimber - August 17, 2010This guide has a lot of test-taking tips that I had never thought of before. The ESL Instruction and Assessment sections are very thorough and informative. If you're a first time teacher, the bonus material "teaching secrets" are helpful.
