Considering the increasing number of IT Professionals and their Organizations who want to be actively involved in IT Service Management, this book should do at least as well as the first edition, which is a bestseller.
I was satisfied with the content of this volume that remains true to the OGC volumes for Service Strategy and Service Design under ITIL v3. It is comprehensive and provides a good foundation for test preparation and for reference by those experienced practitioners who need a ready reference. However, it is fraught with spelling and grammatical errors that jar the reader out of the study mode and into an unpleasant state of trying to piece together the errant sentence and make sense of it. It would seem that absolutely no editorial proofing has occurred given the sophomoric misspells and horrible grammar liberally sprinkled throughout the volume. One can surmise that getting this tome to market was the primary motivation for its creation without thought (or very little) to producing a quality product - something supremely abhorrent to the concepts taught by ITIL. Fair warning - it is not a brisk read.
