Fisrt of all, I have passed my exam successfully.
I have bought this book in order to get more exposure to the TOGAF Foundationcan before taking the exam. Through the internet, I had many trials to find any papers or articles that talk about the exam. Unfortunately, I could not find any refernces or sample questions. This was the reason that made me getting this book. As a book targetes the exam, I have expected to find it coveres the following items:
1. Breifly explaining the topics that should be covered in TOGAF Foundation course. 2. Providing reaonsable number of questions for each topic. 3. Highlighting the Exam structure. 4. Providing multiple trial exams.
This is what I have receieved through the book:
1. The book explained in points the topics to be covered in the exam. 2. It provided only one sample exam that included 41 questions. 3. It has not explain the structure of the exam. 4. For some reasons, it... read more
Absolutely Horrible Book

This book is without a doubt, the most useless study guide I've ever encountered. There are so many things wrong with this book: 1) The questions are not representative of the actual TOGAF exam. The questions in this book focus on very subtle and useless detail that is not necessary to pass the exam or is useless for practical application 2) Some of the answers are wrong! That's right, plain wrong. 3) There is no explanation of the TOGAF exam, including format, whatsoever. 4) There are no diagrams. This book is very thin and has no diagrams to support what's in it.
Bottom line: This book is a waste of money. The Study Guide from The Open Group is 100 times better than this (and this is no exaggeration).
Updated 2/5/10: I passed both TOGAF 9 parts 1 and 2 with zero help from this useless book. I swear, I don't even know if the author is TOGAF certified. And if you click on his name to see the other books he's written, you will consistently... read more
