A Good Workshop Manual for The Little Lion

I've owned over twenty cars since I purchased my first automobile in college, an MGA. I wish I would've had a manual for it but John Haynes didn't get to the MGA first as he started with the Sprite if memory serves me well. I did manage to get a Piet Olyslager, Sunday Times MGA Motor Manual that was very basic. When I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I had also graduated to the Chevy Corvette and that auto did not have a workshop manual. I ended up procuring, through a friend at GM and a "midnight requisition", a real GM dealer/mechanics workshop manual for it. I believe the statute of limitation has run its course so my friend is safe from prosecution as well as having given GM thirty years of his career.

Over the years I've purchased Haynes "Owners Workshop Manuals" for the "fun cars" in my life. I never once purchased one for the family or company issued boxes that did very little for the motoring enthusiast in me. So, I consider myself somewhat... read more
