Finally!
By The Hawk - June 3, 2009So glad this is finally available. No more hunting the internet for diy repair guidance. This is great, and though there's not a lot on convertible repairs specifically, there's enough to get me through my hydraulic fluid refill that needs to be done. That saves me about $1000 over the next year or two right there.
My copy came from the Book Depository, new, in just a few days. Recommended.
Great reference, not perfect, but close.
By ReToM7 "Patrick" - December 11, 2008I purchased a Haynes manual for my motorcycle a while back and decided that I would benefit from having one for my car also. Short and simple, this book is very informative and has a ton of knowledge to help a do-it-yourselfer do some pretty involved repairs from wiring to engine internals. It also shows the easier side of things like oil changes and brake pads.
The only thing that I do NOT like about the Haynes manuals are the inclusion of vehicles other than my own. It happens when car models, and motorcycle models, have different engine options and body options. While this isn't a huge issue, it makes finding things sometimes a little harder. Also, when they show how to break down or repair something that's shared on multiple versions of the vehicles, the pictures may not always refer to your vehicle.
Most people should be able to find their way around this without an issue, and it certainly wouldn't prevent me from buying a manual for my next car, but I would... read more
What I expect from a haynes manual
By Adam Hanson - August 10, 2009This is what I expect from a Haynes repair manual. However there is no US version of this manual so some things in there don't apply in the US. For example UK measurements and UK emission standers. However a good manual.
