The best ( and Only) manual out there for the UZJ100

Sometimes frustrating to use because it was written with a professional mechanic in mind and for the Austrailian market. Does not have coverage of the A334 transmission used in the UZJ100 in America.

Good - but not a Haynes!

I bought this to assist meyself in getting to know better my 78, as well as a non-electronic support. Pity Haynes does not cover my vehicle.

The manual is very informative in general terms, quite a lot of photos and covers most of the vehicles' illustrated in the cover parts.
However, there is too much information 'crammed' in a single package and it tends to become complicated to follow.
First sections (like engine and auxiliary systems, gearbox) are very technical and descriptive, as the manual moves on the rest becomes complicated, language is "poor" and of less use. Electrical drawings are nearly impossible to understand.
Also, although it claims it holds data for all 70s, 80s and 100s Cruisers, only the 80s are really covered in maximum detail throughout. For the 70s you get a lot of data for engine and gearbox/clutch, so-so for drivetrain, and almost nothing useful for bodywork/interior (luckily this is quite straighforward).

I returned this book because it is not a diesel engine maintenance manual,
but a car maintenance manual for old toyota models.
Read carefully the whole title in lowercase letters before ordering.
