A must have!
By J. Bellucci - May 21, 2010I bought this book for my 3.5 year old daughter a week after my husband deployed to Iraq. I wish that I had thought about things before he left as some of the activities in this book deal with before you leave and the day you leave...but it still is very good. I've started recommending it to all my friends who are going through the same thing. My daughter is definitely on the younger side for this book as it has dot to dots, writing sections and other sections that are mildly advanced for her. We still make it work and I'm ver happy that we have purchased this. I actually wish that the Support Services on base would supply these books because I think they would be a great addition to pre-deployment packages for kids!

This book offers an opportunity for discussion with the child within a positve and structured framework. The artwork is delightful and the book's message progresses in an exceptionally well planned format.
I will be sending my daughter and son-in-law several copies to share with their two children and other military families in Olympia, WA.
A must have book!
