Surprising How Quickly They Pick Up on New Words!

I bought this for my 5yo as a follow up and supplement to the first Bob Books to learn some new sight words. The sentences are actually much harder than I expected and I was worried my son wouldn't be able to pick up on them or become frustrated. But if you help them read the hard words, as teachers often recommend so they won't become frustrated, it's amazing what they can pick up. The pictures are extremely fun and engaging and made my son motivated to try to figure out what the words said. So, he ended up learning quite a number of difficult words just by associating the picture with the words he saw.

This is our second set of Sight Words books. I download them on my Kindle for my six year old to read. He flew through the first set. These are a little longer than the first, but easy enough for him to boost his reading confidence. We highly recommend them.

Good transition books

These are the perfect transition books for kids. They gave my daughter confidence to read by herself. The level one has one maybe two sentences per page, by the time my daughter finished level two she was onto the bigger books :)
