The claims to cover "the principles of extrusion of ceramics", "rheology of ceramic bodies", and "additives for extrusion" among other subjects. The coverage is superficial, selects a few isolated topics and is of little use to an engineer or scientist. The book lacks an overall connecting narrative or underlying theoretical framework. Some of the contributors have published far more useful material elsewhere. I have worked in ceramic extrusion for 15 years and this is one of the least helpful books on the subject that I have ever seen.
