going to show you how I started as a Clickbank newbie and earned $5000 in just 2 weeks
(and still earning...) I've tried to this keep this case study as short as it could be because
everyone is short on time these days but at the same time, I've made sure that everything

Ok! I had already heard a lot about Clickbank but never tried my luck with
it. I got a Clickbank account around 6 months ago, but never did anything to earn money.
I never understood from where should I start? You can say that I was a Clickbank
newbie. Last month I thought I should do something with Clickbank to earn money.



I logged into my account and started browsing for the products available
to promote. My purpose was to target a niche which is full of buyers and to find a product
which:
has a great website, so that my visitors convert well.
has a reasonable price
offers good commission/sale



After browsing for half an hour, I found a weight loss product. The
landing page was good and convincing and it pays around $26/sale. I won't tell you the
name of the product here, because you will think that I am promoting that product. But, if
you want to know then you can send me an email and I will tell you the name of the
product. But it doesn't mean that you should go for only that product. There must be a lot
of other products in the same niche. May be few of them would be better than this and
also convert better. You must check them too. After I found this product according to my
criteria, I decided to promote it.




As a newbie, I was searching for more and more information about
making money on Clickbank. After doing some more research I found that people love
reading free reports, e-books and other stuff to find similar stories and in depth ideas to

always recommended. Create a free report, insert your Clickbank affiliate link into it and
give it away to your targeted readers. So, I thought about giving away free weight loss
tips to my readers and then asking them to check out the Clickbank product. This was a
great idea. You know, after reading your report if the visitor is impressed he will
definitely try to see what you are recommending him.


After reading and collecting some weight loss tips from here and there, I
wrote my own weight loss e-book, which contains only 5 pages. It took me around 3 days
to write and modify this report to give it a professional look. At the end of this free
report, I inserted a very attractive picture and linked it to my Clickbank HopLink. Here is
the picture which I used to induce visitors to click on my Clickbank HopLink. This
picture was responsible for hundreds of EXTRA clicks which wouldn't have generated
otherwise.

I am not too good in writing landing pages. But after spending few hours, I wrote my
own landing page. It must have been something decent and professional, but I was in hurry
too. So, I designed a landing page which was neither great nor poor. It was just OK. Now,
I was not sure whether I was going to make any money or not so I thought about using a
free website. I used www.hostgator.com to make a website for 0.01$ (Use this Coupon

There are a lot of other places where you can get a free website, but I tried this
! one because they are providing php, mysql and FTP facilities. The other
website providers are hpage.com, 110mb.com and yolasite.com

Now my website was ready! So my next target was getting more and more targeted
visitors to my website who would download and read my report and click on the picture I
inserted in my report. As a newbie, I didn't have:
- any email list.
- funds to spend on advertisement.
- seo tools and nothing like that...



Although, I am not good on SEO etc. but I am good in social networking. I
have 600 followers in my Twitter account. I had heard a lot of success stories from the
people using Twitter to make money so, I started using Twitter to post tweets about my
website by inserting the most searched keywords on weight loss. I was used to post
around 8 tweets a day with link to my website. I continued this practice for 3 days. After
three days, I analyzed that I got just 25 visitors in total. I realized that until you have
thousands of followers, you can't get traffic from Twitter. What the hell!



After wasting 3 days on Twitter, I changed my mind and thought about
working with Facebook. I was in the mood of doing something that could give huge
exposure to my website and the free report, I was sharing. So, I thought about doing
Facebook ads. But when I built an ad campaign, I found that it will cost around $0.60 per
click. I dropped the idea as quickly as it came to my mind. I never let my morale went
down and kept myself full of energy and creative.



I got another idea soon. I thought, I will add friends on Facebook and then
offer them my free report. I surfed a lot and read many tips on adding friends on
Facebook and finally developed my own method of adding friends without spamming
Facebook. Most of you might have heard about this method, but I used it with a new twist
and it WORKED! Using my own method, I was able to add 500 friends in just 8 days.

Here's the method which worked for me and again, we are not going to spam Facebook.
1. Create a new Facebook account.
2. Enter complete information in this profile. You want to use your real name or not
it depends upon you. I didn't use my real name but my nick name.

After making your profile, start browsing Facebook and find people
having more than 100 friends and see what they've shared in their profile. If someone has
shared a website link or a picture on his profile, you can comment on it. Before
commenting on it, click `Like' to make that person happy. The comment should be too
good so that it gets noted by a lot of people.





Here is a decent comment you can make if someone has shared a money
making website link on his wall. "Great! I really liked the website you've shared. I think,
I should follow this method and find if it can help me in making money. Do you have
more links to share?"



Please note, not all the people allow everyone to post on their walls. As
soon as you comment on their links, you will get noticed. If you've an interesting profile,
then people will start sending you friend requests, because they will like to share more
links with you. Your work is just to accept the friend requests. Don't forget to `Like' the
status of other people. In that way, you will surely get noticed, because the profile owner
will know that you've liked his/her link. I asked you to comment on those people link
who have atleast 100 friends, because when both of you will become friends, it will be
further noticed by 100 Facebook users! Got idea?



I never sent even a single friend request on Facebook, I kept on accepting
the friend requests from everyone and was able to add 500 friends in 8 days. This method
is completely whitehat and I never spammed Facebook, Did I? If you think, putting
decent comments on other people status updates is spamming then what about `manual
blog commenting'?





Make your comments as genuine as possible!
! Don't put comments like `Wow!', `Nice photo' and something like that. If you
force the user to add you as a friend, then they may report you and Facebook will
block your account, immediately!

Now, I had 500 Facebook friends to start but I was in the search of other Facebook tools
to give my free report a great exposure. After spending 2 more days on the internet and
spending my time to find new Facebook tools, I found a really powerful and interesting

know about it and even if they know, they don't know how to use it to the maximum

I read somewhere that only 5% people on Facebook click on your links
and 95% just ignore it! But we are going to give it a viral touch. Here is a really simple
example to show you how this system works.

! For the sake of simplicity, I've made this diagram assuming that you've only 100
Facebook friends to start but you should start this method with atleast 500

I hope now you understand how powerful this method is. Most of the viral traffic
methods require your visitor to share his link and refer X number of visitors to your
website in order to unlock the download page. But this method doesn't require any fix
number of people to refer and user get his download instantly as soon as he shares the
link.

Now, let's learn how to establish this system

STEP 1: As soon as you have added 500 Facebook friends and your website is ready, go
to https://developers.facebook.com/apps and click `Create New App'. Here `App' means
`Application'. Don't worry! It's not at all difficult and wouldn't take more than 5 minutes
of yours.

STEP 2: After you click on `Create New App' you will see the following screen. Here
you will enter your application name, check Facebook terms and click `continue'. App
name should be unique.



STEP 3: After entering the application name, you will see the following screen. At this
screen, you can see your Facebook Application ID and a secret key. Save these two
things in a separate notepad file, we will need them later on. You can also change logo
and icon of your Facebook application but that is optional, I didn't do that!

At the same page when you scroll down, you can see the columns for entering your email
address for support and your privacy policy and terms URLs and click `Save Changes'.
You can see below, how I entered these items:



STEP 4: Click on the `web' option in the left side menu.


Here you can enter your website name and sub domain, you can also enter your website
URL in both fields.
