Airport Spring 2007

We Everett Cook and Abbey Cook(Douglas) testify that these things happened.
In the spring of 2007 Everett and Abbey felt it necessary to plan eloping to escape
religious control. Everett and Abbey were both 18 and no longer under law required to
obey their parents will. Everett and Abbey snuck out of town to Ketchikan to fly to
Anchorage. Their layover in Ketchikan was about two days. When Everett and Abbey
got to the airport, they were quite surprised to see Donna Douglas, Glen Douglas, and
Monica Camp(Douglas). Everett and Abbey didn't disclose their plans to any of the
Douglas family and no one knew Everett was even in town because Everett didn't tell
anyone but the Steele Family who gave him a ride in and out of town. Everett and
Abbey can only assume Glen or Donna must have called the airport to find out if their
Abbey was on the flight. (which is information that could only be obtained if the airport
was told that she was under 18) When Everett and Abbey were walking up the ramp to
catch their plane, Glen, Donna and Monica attempted to keep them there until the
plane left or they could get Abbey to change her mind. Donna Douglas and Monica
Camp attempted to convince Abbey to change her mind, while Glen Douglas
threatened to beat Everett up as he said that he would do anything to protect his
daughter, even if he had to beat Everett up. At that point an airport police officer
stepped into the argument and asked all of us to move the argument elsewhere as
people needed to unload off the ferry. Everett and Abbey told the officer that Glen,
Donna and Monica were unlawfully preventing Everett and Abbey from getting on their
flight because they are 18. The police officer checked Everett and Abbeys IDs and they
escorted them to the airport entrance.
Who so ever signs below acknowledges that they were at this event and it did in fact
happen in this way.
