Document Description
Allergies represent an over-reaction by our bodies to foreign substances called allergens. Avoiding the allergen would be the best approach if it were possible to do so all the time. People who are allergic to oak pollen, however, usually can’t leave town every spring to vacation in the desert; and those allergic to bee stings can’t stay indoors their whole lives. Fortunately for people with allergies, real progress is being made in treatment.
