1. Immerse yourself

accent or his language skills in general, I always say the same thing: stop studying grammar or
learning vocabulary from a wordlist and start using your new language. I can't stress it enough: be
a speaker, not a learner. Acquire a language, not "study it" like mathematics or physics.

If you want to improve your accent, go and practice with native speakers (the best way to learn a
new accent). Speak with your friends and concentrate on your accent (also very effective). Listen
to American English on a daily basis for at least a few hours (to improve your listening skills and
learn the correct pronunciation, intonation and so on). Just do it!

2. Get some feedback

It's not only about speaking or listening, it's also about getting feedback (so that you can improve).
What should you do?

If you are speaking with native speakers, ask them to correct your accent. If you are listening to
American music, sing along, record yourself and assess your accent (or send the audio to a native
speaker... okay, don't do it if you aren't a good singer). If you are really serious about improving
your accent (if you want to speak with a perfect accent), get some professional help from an
accent reduction coach or buy an accent course.

And this is the best way to improve your American accent quickly - immerse yourself and get some
